The 48SX series is faster, lighter and stronger. These innovations make spitting in combination with seedbed preparation even more interesting than other tillage methods.A spit machine does the main tillage through the spitas. This spit is digging the soil. On this spitas there are 6 whorls (beaters) with 6 spade brackets each. Behind the spitas is a driven rake roller. Due to the special design of the rake roller provides, inter alia:

The 48SX series is the first of its kind to drive the spindle with a single-sided gearbox. This drive is specially designed to accommodate a wide range of power outputs (130-250 hp)

De 48SX serie is sneller, lichter en sterker. Door deze vernieuwingen wordt spitten in combinatie met zaaibedbereiding nog interessanter dan andere grondbewerkingsmethoden.Een spitmachine doet de hoofdgrondbewerking doormiddel van de spitas. Deze spitas graaft de grond om. Op deze spitas zitten 6 kransen (ronsels) met telkens 6 spadebeugels. Achter de spitas bevindt zich een aangedreven harkrol. Door het speciale ontwerp zorgt de harkrol o.a. voor:
een perfect aangedrukt zaaibed
een egaliserende werking
het inwerken van organische stof
De 48SX serie is de eerste in zijn soort die de spitas met een eenzijdige tandwielbak aandrijft. Deze aandrijving is speciaal ontwikkeld om een groot bereik van vermogens op te kunnen vangen (130-250 pk)
