Pöttinger updates Vitasem seed drills

Pöttinger has simplified the calibration process on the latest Vitasem mechanical seed drills, and the 25 percent larger hopper helps to increase outputs. The wide hopper opening is said to provide an easy target when filling with big bags, and the wide platform provides a safe working environment. Available in working widths from 2.5 to 4.0m, and suitable for pairing to a different seedbed preparation machines, there are no changes to the coulters and mechanically driven metering system (electric drive optional). What has changed, though, is the calibration process. Claimed to set a new standard in operating convenience, the catchment trays can now be viewed from the side. This allows any errors to be quickly detected. All settings are carried out conveniently from the left-hand side of the machine. The standard mechanical calibration process is performed by turning a handle. The number of rotations is displayed on the terminal. When the final five rotations are reached, an acoustic signal alerts the operator.Available on drills with mechanical metering, the optional electric calibration system is said to make the Vitasem as easy to use as machines with electric metering drive, where the calibration process is push-button operated.Other options include lighting inside the hopper, work lights, press wheels and levelling tines and the Tegosem hopper allows a second component to be distributed. For more up-to-date farming news click here and subscribe now to profi and save 47%.Share this: TwitterFacebookRedditWhatsApp Steven Vale
