Teagle launches higher-output Tomahawk

Teagle had a new version of its Tomahawk tub-grinder on show at Lamma. Tagged the Calibrator C120, there have been a number of changes to broaden the machine’s working window and boost hourly work-rates.While there had previously been the option to handle grain as well as dry straw and miscanthus, the new design means damper material such as crimped corn can be processed – an option apparently being demanded by a number of biogas plants.Pairs of interchangeable screens mean chop lengths can be varied right down to 20mm. The previously lozenge-shaped hopper is replaced with a circular chamber with sides that fold for transport so that loading is no longer a hit-and-miss affair while the move to two discharge conveyors simplifies the flow of material.Automatic control of tub rotation helps avoid the risk of blockages while Bluetooth comms. enable the operator to control the C12 from the cab of the loader. Along with a new design of tungsten carbide hammers, these changes have apparently had a big impact on throughput – expect 15tph rather than the 11t pumped out by previous models.Share this: TwitterFacebookRedditWhatsApp Nick Fone
