Trailed Oxbo merger suits CTF systems

Oxbo has made numerous changes to its second generation trailed merger. Previewed at Agritechnica, the 12.5m working width (1.0m wider than the previous model) is ideally suited to CTF systems.Claimed as the first ISObus merger in Europe, the most visible change on the CM240 is the new frame. Designed in North America, the same frame can carry an alfalfa head in the US and a grass pick-up in Europe.Speaking of the pick-up, this is no longer borrowed from Reiter. The new version developed by Oxbo engineers is said to perform well in wet heavy grass with a high sugar content. The new three-piece pivoting pick-up is said to provide improved ground contour following, and the CM240 is available with an automatic or manually steered rear axle. Two machines ran this season – one in alfalfa in France, the other in Germany in grass. One of the seven pre-production machines planned for 2024 could come to the UK. The rest will be spread across Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, Full availability will be from 2025.For more up-to-date farming news click here and subscribe now to profi and save 47%.Share this:TwitterFacebookRedditWhatsApp by Steven Vale More From This Author
