Biggest ever Case IH combine

The New Holland CR11 is the star combine attraction at Agritechnica this week. Not wanting to be forgotten, Case IH has just revealed that it is also close to launching its biggest ever Axial-Flow.Described as a completely different animal, and a new range to sit above the latest AF260 series, the details are scarce but what we can confirm is that the new red flagship is closely based on the CR11, sharing the same 775hp engine and 20,000-litre grain tank. The major difference is that the big red beast retains the tried and trusted single rotor concept, unlike the CR11 which is a twin rotor machine. The longer rotor, and other technologies in the new Case combine, increase the separation area by 50% compared to the current largest model. A bigger engine needs a larger fuel tank which on the new flagship is a massive 1,500-litres+.More than five years in development, Case IH is testing prototypes worldwide and we understand that one of the limited number of pre-production models planned for next year will come to the UK.The maker says it will disclose more details on the commercial release of the AF series combines in 2024 – hinting that there is more than one model. We believe that the new AF range topper could receive its European public airing at the back end of next year with availability starting for the 2025 season. And what better place to do this than the Sima show in November 2024.For more up-to-date farming news click here and subscribe now to profi and save 47%.Share this:TwitterFacebookRedditWhatsApp by Steven Vale More From This Author
