Grimme updates RH hoppers

The 10cm wider front section on the restyled Grimme RH20, RH24 and RH28 receiving hoppers helps to increase intake volumes, and the traffic light control system makes them an easier target for trailers.Hopper floor speed can be set from 0.2 to 6.0m/min, and the revised Capacity Control feature allows it to be controlled by specifying the throughput rate in tonnes per hour. The deeper pockets of the floor are said to empty the hopper quickly, and the reduced incline angle of the hopper belt improves the crop flow. With VarioClean, the soil cleaning rollers can be adjusted upwards in heavy conditions and downwards in sandy/light conditions.Operated via the IBX 300 ISObus control unit or CCI 800 ISObus terminal, new functions include Remain Control. This measures the volume of crop still in the hopper when refilling to reduce the fall height. The design of the roller spacing adjustment allows soil cleaning and pre-grading rollers to be quickly changed to suit the conditions, and the VarioClean function is said to increase cleaning performance in heavy and sticky conditions. The Turbo-Clean function is also new, where the PU spiral rollers can rotate against the crop flow to take out soil. The IBX 300 control unit can be equipped with a 15m cable and an emergency stop.In launching the new models, Grimme has added a couple of new variants of the RH24. These include the XT. Designed for potatoes, the large sorting table behind the cleaning rollers can be combined with the optional opto-electronic sorting unit. The straight hopper design of the RH24-60S is suitable for vegetables. This version can be equipped with an onion distributor, a transfer belt between the hopper floor and roller installation, and plain (steel) rollers. For more up-to-date farming news click here and subscribe now to profi and save 47%.Share this: TwitterFacebookRedditWhatsApp Steven Vale
